This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in 5th grade would greatly benefit from having access to the high quality, engaging texts that can be found on the Scholastic News website. The texts are rich with qualities that would greatly improve students' reading habits. All texts on this site are at rigorous Lexile levels and provide students with opportunities to build their understanding of text features, multiple choice questions, and essay writing.
Students need access to a variety of engaging, rigorous texts in order to strengthen their abilities and skills as readers.
