Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are bright and eager. They have a desire to learn new things every day. They arrive every day with a positive outlook to the activities and lessons planned in the classroom.
My students have the will and brainpower to succeed, they simply need the right tools to propel them forward.
I am confident my students can achieve anything they set their minds to, and I want to be able to provide them with the best educational experiences possible.
My Project
In our classroom students are being encouraged to explore their passions through the implementation of Genius Hour or Passion Projects. I have many students that love technology and want to learn more about it everyday. These materials will allow the students in my class to access more advanced technology, and learn more about coding. Students will use various online software to delve in to the creative process of modeling their creations, and then seeing them come to life on the 3D printers. The Oculus VR headset will provide students with more experience an additional challenge with coding and designing their own content. With access to this technology I can help inspire students' creativity, enhance problem-solving skills, and increase exposure to various types of technology.

The students in my class are going to go wild with ideas when they see the arrival of our 3D Printers and Oculus headset, and we begin exploring all of things they can create using art, design, math, and technology. More importantly, it will be an exciting opportunity for collaboration and cross-curricular instruction.
