My students need access to an iPod in the classroom so that we can use high quality digital recordings in our classroom, concert performances, and on the go!
These students have grown up together, sharing everything from their favorite books to their afternoon snack. They are a tight knit group who really care for one another.
Although we are in a small town, we do our best to do a lot with a little!
In our most recent "School Report Card," we achieved the highest rating - Significantly Exceeds Expectations! We are constantly striving to work with our families and community to provide the best possible learning environment for our students.
My Project
This iPod will be a valuable tool in my classroom. With students in grades K-8, we use a lot of different music recordings for songs and classroom activities, and this would help us access them quickly and easily - saving valuable instructional time! Beyond being able play back music, this can be used for video recording, audio recording, and more! Audio and video recording is a great way to showcase student work, and can be a valuable tool in student self-evaluation.
Your generous donation will help my students both in the classroom, and in performance!
This iPod will help us incorporate technology into our music performances, and access exciting recorded accompaniments! This frees up my hands and focus, so that instead of playing piano for each song in a performance, I can help lead students with dancing, playing instruments, acting, hand motions, or cues on stage. This will make the performances more dynamic, and infuse each performance with the excitement of high quality recordings! This also gives students a richer and more varied learning experience, and gives us access to more genres of music to perform.
