My Project

Through STEAM students can learn how to be creative thinkers, problem solvers, decision makers, and future leaders. I work at a Title I school where many of my students come from various cultural backgrounds. They don't have as many opportunities as other students their age. It is important for my students to have resources and tools that will support their learning needs in the classroom.

These resources will help to make STEAM activities fun and engaging for all students.

My students will be able to work closely together in a hands-on way to solve real-world problems. STEAM develops a set of thinking, reasoning, teamwork, investigative, and creative skills that students can use in their daily lives. During Independent work time, students will be allowed to work with a partner on STEAM activities.

The kits allow students to look at the properties of the materials they are working with, and follow a sequence plan to build the kits correctly. This gives opportunities for students to reflect on what they are learning about, and change what they did correctly in their builds.

The letters and bulletin board paper will allow me to create a fun space to show pictures of my students collaborating and doing the STEAM projects together.
