My Students
Help! I just moved to a different school and a huge majority of the reading materials are fiction. We need non-fiction books to push our students forward in reading.
Our class contains many different ethnicities, socio-economic groups, and abilities.
We are in a title one school with the homeless shelter within our school boundaries. Several of our students have no place to call home. We have a wide range of students from very high achieving students to very low achieving students. But we consider everyone in our class family.
My Project
The resources we are requesting will help our students learn about explorers, the 13 colonies, the American Revolution, The Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights, The Civil War, The Industrial Revolution, and World War II. We will integrate American History and language arts by using non-fiction books. My students need non-fiction books to learn more about American History in language arts.
Your donation will affect the lives of not only my fifth grade class, but also the other fifth grade class in our school and the fifth grade classes of the years to come.
More than half of students from low‑income households
