To Organize or Not to Organize? That is the Question!

Help me give my students new storage containers and drawers so that we can organize our classroom and tools.

My Students

I am the teacher of 24 smiling first graders who are eager to learn. We live in the northeast corner of Oklahoma in a small, rural community. Our school is mostly made up of Title I students as we live in a low-income area. We have many Native American students due to the fact that Oklahoma is home to nine Native American tribes. I am looking to aid them in their journey to be college and career ready in their futures.

My Project

Imagine being in a classroom with 24 students who have nowhere to store their tools. We have been very creative in coming up with ways to organize our supplies and manipulatives with very little success. We have basically put a small bandaid on a problem that allows for a temporary fix.

Consider investing in storage that will teach our students about responsibility and organization in their classroom.

They are learning how to keep a classroom clean while making our classroom visibly more enjoyable. This will allow for less anxiety and hopefully a calmer environment for these students and future students to come!
