Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I know some of the students when I taught third grade. I've taught 3rd grade for over 18 years. As of this year, I began teaching 6th grade. Students are a lot older and the room is limited in storing supplies.

The majority of students are from low-income families.

The majority of the students are English Language Learners. Each and everyone is special and talented in their own way. You have the comedians, Einsteins, the needy, etc. They are all special to me.

Having chair pouches will be of great help for all. When I say all is because I will teach three sets of classes. In our school, we have departmentalized classes from 6th-8th grades.

My Project

My students are always eager to come to Social Studies class The pocket chairs will be a daily use for all three sixth-grade classrooms (all 79 students). Students will be better focused and work comfortably on their desk. They won't have all the other books/texts on top of their desk as they read or write.

By donating to the chair pockets, you will increase their focus in my class which will be Social Science.

It is very important to me for students to be organized so they can be fully focused on the curriculum. Sixth grade is a benchmark grade and another reason for them to be organized.
