Our students are ages 3-6 and come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some are typically developing while others receive special education services. Despite challenges, each child is encouraged to work hard and try new things each day. They know our classroom is a safe place to make mistakes.
All of our preschool students believe they will learn and grow.
Our goal is to provide them with loving, positive and engaging environment. We play, sing, read, get messy and laugh together on a daily basis.
My Project
Having an easel and paints available as part of our daily center time will allow students to create when and how they choose. They may paint shapes and figures or simply mix colors. Using Model Magic and pipe cleaners, students will have the opportunity to explore size, shape and balance as they squish and mold their creations.
Preschoolers will get to explore new techniques, express themselves and experience the joy of creating on a daily basis with these materials.
The materials will allow for students to explore the process of art without teacher direction or models. Allowing them this independence will foster creativity, persistence and problem-solving skills.
