This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to school each day with smiles on their faces and a willingness to learn. Technology is a HUGE part of the classroom and I want to support it with my work with students. At Cahlan, students are exposed to technology daily and they are sometimes better able to use their computers better than I am. I want to introduce technology into my counseling with students.

I am the counselor at a Title 1 school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

I work with students individually or in small groups to help them work on things that are bothering them, learn different techniques to deal with things and learn and utilize different applications. Your donation to this project will help me utilize technology and the different applications to help my students become 21st century learners.

My Project

These items and materials will help me help my students. I will be able to integrate the information that I teach time in counseling session and small group work into their every day lives.

Technology is a HUGE part of my students' lives but some of them only have access to computers at school because they do not have them at home.

I want to use these Chromebooks to expose my students to more technology and help them become 21st century learners. I will utilize different applications to build and present counseling lessons to my students. They will be able to keep track of the things they learn and have a record of everything that I thought them throughout the year.
