To Be or Not to Be a Poet

Help me give my students a chance to continue to enjoy reading and become authors with a book set, pencils, and markers!

My Project

To be or not to be a poet-- that is the question. My students are currently exploring a new world--poetry! They are also continuing their 25-book reading journey. This has been an exciting and new journey for many of my students because this was their first time writing poems-specifically haikus and free verse poems to start (Later down the road, they'll be writing sonnets, ballads, and odes).

There is one thing that is putting a nail in their journey as poets and that is their archnemesis--the pencil.

The pencil never seems to show up to do his job when they need him. With your help, my scholars will be able to make sure that he shows up and helps them to continue to create magnificent poems.

Moreover, the set of Captain Underpants books will allow my scholars to continue to progress toward their 25 books campaign by the end of the year. My students and I advocate for them to read books that they enjoy, and it has been made very clear--Captain Underpants is in! I could see them fervently flipping the pages to this book now.
