This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 4 and 5 year-olds love the three small Duplo building sets we have in the classroom but they would love more building opportunities. Their engineering interests and skills will be enhanced by these new extensive sets. The sets that I chose for this project will not only support their STEM development but will also fit in with our community helpers and neighborhood social studies unit.
The set I am most excited about is the train and cargo set with the crane because our school is in a port town and our playground has a perfect view of the port.
The port even employs family members of some of our students.
