This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students from KCP are a diverse group of young people looking to explore their interests in the cosmetic/beauty industry. The program I run provides students with the space to gain hands on experience with hair styling, skin care, make-up application, manicuring, and nail application/design. This program comes highly requested by students as an enrichment course. Any support is very much appreciated and will help to purchase supplies for this course!

My Project

These materials will make a difference in my students learning because it will help them gain real world experience in the areas of hair styling, skin care, make-up application, and manicuring/nail application. It will also help them develop their communication skills with colleagues (other students), supervisor (teacher), and guests (other students). These young people will also gain a sense of confidence in their abilities through practice and training. Lastly, students will be able to apply academic learning, technical information, and related matter to assure sound judgements, decision making, and procedures!
