This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My transitional kindergarten class consists of the younger kindergarten students.
Our Title I school is located in a low economic area.
One hundred percent of the students qualify for the free federal breakfast and lunch program. Most of my students come from families who do not speak English. My transitional kindergarten students are enthusiastic about learning and always try their best. I have seen their language, social and academic skills grow every day. They have shown me that they have the potential to exceed all expectations.
My Project
The scholastic magazine is an exciting learning paperback for my Tk learners. This wonderful magazine has great visuals that help students understand the learning foundations and gives them school readiness skills.
This magazine correlates with the thematic units student work throughout the year.
This subscription also offers digital resources, student activity printable pages, games and instructional videos. All these resources reinforce students' learning.
Each month my students will be eager to explore their new magazine. My TK students will be so excited to have a magazine from where they can learn and take home and share with their families.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
