Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in the low-income, mid-city district of Los Angeles. My students come to school every day and we have the highest attendance for a Title I/low-income school with a population of about 700 plus students. My students are a rambunctious, beautiful bunch of kids with so much life, love, and learning to be had. They deserve everything the world has to offer and more! I am so proud of them, every step of the way! They are happy learners with smiles and excitement all day!
My Project
These classroom basic materials will help my students start their Transitional Kindergarten year off right!
The triangular pencils, color pencils, and multicultural crayons will allow my students to practice writing, coloring, and best of all creating!
My students will use the paper for drawing and for taking home individual creations on a daily basis. We will also use the paper to paint, draw, cut and paste on and print daily homework practice pages, if allowed. Having all of these materials will allow my students and me the ability to have the freedom to grab, go and learn!
