My Students
Students are inundated with technology and teachers must change the way we deliver curriculum. We must compete with YouTube, Xbox, and smartphones to keep students engaged. Why fight technology when we can use it?
My TK students are inquisitive and thoughtful.
They love to learn! It is up to me to bring in as much supplemental materials as possible to stimulate their minds and encourage their exploration of new concepts. My students attend a school where Title 1 funding is not available, so we as teachers must supplement by finding ways to help them get the required materials.
My Project
I plan to use the iPod Nano and Docking station in many ways. One way will be during recess and lunch. Students will have a chance to dance and shake their sillies out during play time. I will also use it to introduce my students to the wonderful world of classical music. This will allow them to work in a peaceful and calm environment.
With an iPod Nano and Docking Station, these students could have an opportunity to interact with the most cutting edge and engaging educational technology of our time.
After they oooh and aaah over each lesson, their minds often leap beyond the programs to insights I could never have planned. Your support would open the window for their explorations and power their innovations.
