This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help give our Title I, low income, students math materials to continue building on their math skills at home. At our math night, families will learn how to build and support their students in various math strands using common materials (dice, card decks, fraction bars, etc) with your help and handed out that evening. In this project I am asking for fake money for my students to practice counting money at home.

Currently, many of our students are performing 2-3 grade levels below in mathematics.

Hosting these family nights allows us to integrate our bilingual services, after-school program, and school wide team to support all of our families, many of which are monolingual or bilingual.
