My Project
I teach high school level Special Education classes. My students have a lot of energy and love socializing. Most are hands-on learners. My students come from diverse backgrounds and have varying abilities.
The material I teach my students is largely focused on transitioning to adulthood, and providing them with the tools and resources they need.
My students are independent and responsible for their actions and encouraged to take an active role in their education. Our team here is dedicated to providing continuity and consistency to each student.
My students are constantly coming in with an illness. Within the first month of school we have already experienced several colds and ran out of tissues.
I have supplied all the tissues and wipes that I can afford for my classroom, and they are already gone.
My students and their families are unable to provide boxes of tissues, and the school district is also unable to provide this basic need.
Please help support my students in this icky season!
