This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are four sections of graduating eighth-graders. I have both blended and remote only students. Middle schoolers are full of life and energy and are eager to learn more about the world around them. As their science teacher, I hope to open their eyes to the passion and fun of science through my class! At this age, I am starting to build in them a foundation for science that will carry them through high school and beyond. Help me achieve my goals of opening doors for my students.
My Project
My students are returning to school after months of the coronavirus closures. Families are facing severe economic challenges at this time, students need to have access to simple necessities like tissues and paper towels in the room- especially during lunch time and during experiments in science class. In lieu of asking families to provide these materials with students, I am asking for your kind help in providing our classrooms with paper towels and tissues so students can be as comfortable and clean as possible on their in person school days.
