Tiny Tech Explorers: Hands-On Learning for Preschoolers

My Project

My student's curiosity unique perspectives the energy they bring and a willingness to learn, inspires me to be a better educator everyday. I admire how they support one another, embrace challenges, and celebrate each other’s successes, no matter how small.

The iPad resources I selected are aimed at meeting students where they are and helping them grow in meaningful ways.

They will provide hands-on learning, differentiated instruction, and opportunities for exploration that build confidence and deepen understanding. These resources will also be especially helpful for non-English speakers by offering visual support and personalized learning experiences that aid in developing both academic skills and English language proficiency.

iPads have many beneficial apps such as Calm, Headspace, Breathe, Think, Do with Sesame, or Smiling Mind that guide students through breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, and calming activities. These can help students self-regulate when they’re upset or overwhelmed. Other apps allow students to check in with their feelings and choose coping strategies. For example, Zones of Regulation apps let students identify their current emotional state and access tools or activities tailored to bring them back to a calm, focused zone.
