Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Hi! I am the excited teacher of a preschool class in Detroit, Mi! My class consist of 18 little busy explorers. I love being their first teacher and love watching their reaction learning something new.

I have included a white board and building manipulative in my wish list.

A lot of times when I am explaining something at this young age, the children grasp the concept more when I am able to draw or write it. Having this white board in our class would take lessons so much further. I am also excited about the idea of children actually helping me write things I’m regards to lessons. The white board will really help keep them engaged.

The manipulative will also get those future engineer brains moving! I can already get my open ended questions ready! What did you use to build that, and how did you build that.
