Help me give my students an easier way to use their DOE funded laptops. Each Pre-K child struggles to use the trackpad. Having a mouse for each child will benefit the students and teachers in the classroom.

My Students
On March 13th, 2020 our student's lives changed for the for-seeable future. We were all unknowing about the type of teaching that we would have to turn to.
As of the end of September, my students participate in a full in-person method of school.
Every child is given a laptop to use for any hone assignments or paperless classwork. As many know, teaching Pre-K students how to use a laptop and trackpad can be very tedious. Most of my students come from low-income households and they struggle to use the DOE given technology. Each child is ambitious and wants to learn the new ways of learning. However, it can be a struggle for such young little hands.
My Project
Pre-K can be a challenging year for students during a pandemic. I try to keep as much hands-on exposure as possible. However to limit paper and physical contact, I will assign work through Google Classroom. Many of the assignments are using google slides where students can click, drag and resize images. Using a trackpad is very difficult for tiny hands. Allowing students to use a mouse will allow for easier work to be done in the building and at home. I hope giving my students a small piece of technology as simple as a mouse can make the students and families jobs a bit easier.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
