My Students
Little hands work best hands on! Our 5 year olds are energetic and excited to learn. For many of them, this is their first classroom experience. Many students completed Pre-K either virtually or did not attend at all. They are passionate, excited, and creative. They belong to a PreK to 5 Title I School. They are especially excited when they have access to hands-on materials! It is my obligation to keep these Kindergartners inspired to become lifelong learners and leaders, always seeking multiple ways to solve problems.
My Project
Kindergarten is a critical year in a child's life. For some, it is their first school experience. After the height of the pandemic, many students are beginning school for the first time in person. They are eager to learn and extremely energetic! Hands on learning opportunities keep these little minds and hands engaged.
These materials will be used during math centers, ELA small groups, as well as "Genius Hour" choice time focusing on STEM.
They will make learning purposeful and exciting! Most importantly, they will get students working together and learning how to make social connections.
