This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students come from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and their creativity reflects their unique experiences and perspectives. With the right tools, we can help them grow into confident thinkers who celebrate their identities and embrace the diversity of the world around them.
Creativity is vital to early childhood development and an important way to promote equity and representation.
Art allows children to express their identities, share their stories, and learn about others. Your support can provide our students with the resources they need to explore their individuality and develop a sense of belonging.
We are requesting donations of the following items:
1. Crayons, glitter glue, and colored rice
2. Paint sticks and dot paints
3. Craft items (pom-poms, beads, feathers, etc)
These materials will allow students to engage in hands-on projects that support motor skills, creativity, and self-expression. As they create, they’ll develop fine motor skills essential for writing, exploring emotions, and building confidence. Group activities will also foster teamwork and an appreciation for diverse perspectives.
Our goals are to provide students with opportunities to:
1. Develop motor skills through engaging art projects.
2. Explore their emotions and express their identities through art.
3. Gain confidence and a sense of accomplishment by completing projects.
4. Foster teamwork and cultural awareness through group art activities.
With your help, we can create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, inspired, and empowered to share their voice.
