I use the interactive books as a small-group learning station while I work directly with students on their individual phonics goals. My students are able to practice letter sounds, blending, sight words, and early reading skills in a fun and interactive way.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they were excited and eager to explore the books and LeapReader. They were especially excited that they could interact with the books and receive immediate feedback as they practiced. I loved seeing their curiosity and enthusiasm turn into focused learning. For many of my students, the materials made reading practice feel more like an enjoyable activity than a difficult task.\r\n\r\nOne of our current goals is to continue building strong phonics and early reading skills. My students will keep using the LeapReader System during learning stations to practice the skills they are working on individually. As they become more comfortable and independent, I will continue monitoring their progress and providing targeted instruction and support. Our next steps are to strengthen their ability to recognize sounds, blend them into words, read sight words, and apply these skills to early reading. A few of my students celebrated birthdays yesterday and we were able to give them the bookmarks and the pencils. They really love them. We were sad that we couldn't get the mailbox, but it's OK.
