I love my school. We have a diverse population, where every student has experiences to bring to the classroom. Our students love to explore and create using different resources, activities, and simulations.
In class, I provide my students with hands-on experiences to grasp concepts, understand new ideas, and connect to real-world situations.
I use lots of manipulatives, songs, and games to teach concepts. The students at my school respond favorably to this approach to teaching and rise to the occasion.
My Project
Students will read the books from this project about kids and adults that have tinkered with big ideas and have gone on to do amazing things. After reading the books, students will use the coding games, little bits, Ozobots, and kid flakes to problem solve and find answers to real life problems.
The 3-D printer will be pivotal in the classroom, as students bring to life their computer generated projects.
Students get excited about building experiments out of cardboard, toilet paper rolls, and yarn. The 3-D printer will be a game changer as students are able to take those prototypes and create their products.
