My Project
Through the use of these requested open-ended art and STEM materials, my kindergarten students will be afforded with multiple opportunities for opened-ended explorations. Their investigations through the use of these tools will provide access points that guide student inquiry, dialogue and critical thinking.
Simple tools such as the roll of butcher paper and washable paints will provide a platform that is larger than life and stretches their imagination far beyond that of a standard sheet of paper.
These materials will also support the current classroom environment in facilitating children's curiosities through intrinsic motivation to engage. These tools will invite children to engage in an interdisciplinary multi-modal approach to learning. This approach also support's and assists in children's autonomy in their own play-based research.
