it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Timpani are the king of orchestral percussion instruments! We currently have a mismatched set of 26, 29, and 32 inch timpani, and are missing our 23 inch drum.
Without a 23" drum, we are severely limited in our options when choosing concert repertoire for bands and orchestras.
Each drum in a set of timpani plays a different range of notes of roughly half an octave apiece with some overlap, and allows the musician playing a set to tune each head to a specific pitch. Most music is written for a standard set of four to cover a full octave and a half's worth of pitches with plenty of time to re-tune to different notes as necessary.
Please help us achieve this important step of having a full set of timpani!
