My Students

One of my favorite quotes is by Charles Ives: "You cannot set art off in a corner and hope for it to have vitality, reality, and substance." I believe to help keep music education vital and relevant, technological advances have to make their way into the classroom and help us connect to the world.

My students are hard-working, talented musicians who enthusiastically share their passion with our community.

Students participate in various performing arts ensembles, as well as solo and small group activities to bring music into our everyday lives.

My Project

For students to play timpani accurately, they need to be both seated at the correct height, as well as free to move their feet between drums to manipulate the pedals. This throne is designed to be comfortable even for long periods of play! The seat is free spinning, with gas shocks built on top of the hydraulic height adjustment system, which makes both height-setting and adjustment a breeze.

This is the extended height version, making it work for both drum setups and timpani performers!

We hope to add a drum set to our school inventory in the future, so this throne will be useful in many ways for years to come!
