I work with a hard-working group of swimmers. We work throughout the season to improve the skills of our swimmers. Most of our team is students with very little experience in competitive swimming.
The stopwatches are used during practice and meets to help the swimmers work on their pacing and check their progress with increasing speed.
Learning proper pacing, especially in longer events, allows the students to develop a feel for how quickly they should be swimming for each 50. Our swim program is newer and we do not have many of these items, nor do our students have the funds to purchase all of this equipment on their own.
Swimming is a sport they can do their entire lives and it is an amazing low-impact way to stay in shape. Please help our swimmers have an amazing season and help close the economic gap between our students and the other teams in our district. Our league is very competitive and many of the schools we compete against are much more prosperous than ours. Thank you for any support you can provide our team and our Athletic Boosters.
