Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Today my students and I learned about Tonies! We visited our school library and fell in love with something brand new as we discovered the world of Tonies!

Tonies are little characters that sit on top of a specialized box and READS stories to students from that character and we would LOVE to own this for our class!

The really neat thing is our project is including several different characters we know and LOVE who help to make our reading fun and engaging, such as Pete the Cat, Cat in the Hat and friends, and Winnie the Pooh!

I believe a Tonie player and characters would be a fun way to experience our listening center or even whole group carpet time in learning to listen. In fact, this project can grow over time as we invest with getting more characters. In the meantime, while we're still in the beginning stage, our initial characters will be awesome and appreciated and more than enough for us!

Thank you in advance for your generous donation to our newest character Reader. We've also asked for our special tote bag made just for our project characters and their box so we can provide the best care possible so this project can last for years and years and serve many precious students. Smiles!
