Adjustable, standing desks will benefit students' education in lots of ways.

Adjustable, standing desks are good for the health of and provide significant relief for our students especially when more and more schools are cutting recess and physical education programs.

Here are some of the benefits of an adjustable, standing desk. The desks improve student engagement and academic performance in the classroom by increasing blood flow, focus, and energy levels. Sitting for long periods of time can lead to health issues, poor posture, circulation issues, and neck & back pain; standing desks allow students to stand and move throughout the lesson. These adjustable standing desks can easily adjust the height of the desk to accommodate students of different heights, in different class periods, making it easier for students to find a comfortable and ergonomic position. Students can move and remain active in the classroom which will lead to a more dynamic classroom environment, increasing productivity and satisfaction in learning, improving better quality work, performance, mood, and increased energy and posture. They also create a positive culture of health and wellness in the classroom, prioritizing physical and mental well being, and providing accommodations for students with physical disabilities.

My students occupy the lower end of nearly every demographic stratum; the school enrolls 100% economically disadvantaged students with 99.8% minority enrollment. Most are developing English-language skills. Even with so many challenges, my students want to learn and grow! Adjustable, standing desks can be a fabulous tool for my students and I look forward to seeing the benefits!
