Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 1st grade Hawks SOAR into our school every day, eager to start our day and find out what we get to explore next. I love having the opportunity to greet them at our door every day.
I look forward to these materials bringing many more light bulb moments to our class and seeing their faces elated from learning.
They enjoy being exposed to unique, challenging, and targeted learning experiences.
My Project
I have the pleasure to teach 28 first-grade students. With such a large group of young students, I have found that the best way to work with them is through small group instruction. It is important to me that my students have the proper space to develop as learners.
Having a kidney table to be able to have small group instruction will really benefit my students' social skills, and learning this school year.
This last year many students had to do their learning from home and had very little engagement with their peers.
I feel that small group instruction with my students is very important. Having a kidney table helps me to engage more with the students, and they also engage with one another. Having a kidney table will also help them with their social skills, and learning process.
