My Project

We are a day treatment program that specializes in students with Severe Emotional Impairments. The majority of our educational program is based on positive behavior.

The students participate in Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (P.B.I.S.).

The students earn points daily along with bucks that can be used to purchase items in our point stores. The students are able to shop weekly.

We also have students who are on a daily check-in and check-out that earn snacks or small items if they achieve their daily percent/goal. Students work hard to earn their points/tickets and look forward to a small snacks/prizes at the end of each day.

Some of our students also have a medical diagnosis of Autism. They require weighted vests and fidgets to help themselves to regulate. By having a weighted vest the student(s) will be able to self soothe.

Fidget items help the students to better focus throughout the school day. The fidgets also help with reducing anxiety.
