My Students
My students attend a high poverty school in an urban area. They come from many different backgrounds, and each offer a unique piece to our classroom. They learn from one another everyday and appreciate what makes each member of the class unique. They are excited and motivated third graders who can't wait to discover more out in the world! With support this year, they will grow to be more independent and will become more confident and excited about learning in their community.
My Project
I'm about to begin my 8th year in the classroom, so naturally some materials need some updating! I'd love to replace some of my student's books, board games, and math materials. Every year new kids come in and read through my library, play their hearts out during Friday afternoon choice time and really make use of all of all the supplies in our classroom! I want to give my future students this same opportunity; they build relationships with each other through math, and games and they love to read together! This "Time to Restock" project will make all of that possible.
