Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Teaching young boys and girls can be challenging and very rewarding. Most of the children in my class are economically disadvantaged. They are an energetic great bunch of kids. They lack many things at home due to circumstances beyond their control.
Despite all that has happened, they attend school and strive for excellence.
The children have returned to school and are trying to stay strong. I know they are struggling to get back to normalcy. Yet, they keep smiling and strive to do their best.
My Project
We are about half way through the school year. The children's school supplies are all used up or are broken. The colors and color pencils are needed to work in journals and learning activities. Most of these writing utensils are broken or worn down.
The children need their school supplies replenished.
It always feels better to use new and unbroken colors or pencil boxes. Right now many children need new ones to finish up their assignments.
Some kids have broken pencil boxes that need to be replaced so that their supplies will keep from falling all over the place.
We also need the glue and scissors for our foldables and learning activities.
I teach a great bunch of children that just need a few supplies. Your generous help will ensure that they have the school supplies needed to finish the year.
