This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal is for the students to feel comfortable reading in my class. A lot of my students shy away from attempting to read books in English. I'm hoping these graphic novels will give them the confidence they need to take risks when it comes to reading. For English Language Learners graphic novels are a great tool to encourage them to read because of the use of images.
Also, by acquiring more graphic novels based on stories that they might be interested in.
It'll help them become more excited to read if they find a book that speaks to them.
