This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am teaching a great group of talented and energetic kindergarten students in a dual immersion program. Our school is located in a social-economic disadvantaged area. Our community of dual immersion parents prides itself for their commitment to their child's education.
My Project
My students will love to have different play food items to be used during play centers. These resources will provide my students with opportunities to be natural inquirers in playful settings.
Our class is building a collection of play kitchen items that are needed in order for four students to play at a time in this center.
Many of the toys in our class have been passed down from previos kinder teachers and are really beat up. These new sets will help our class have enough toys for quiet some time.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
