My Students
I teach Kindergarten with 26 students in a low income community.
My students deserve the best education with the best resources.
I am always looking for ways to improve my classroom to help my students be the most successful they can be. They appreciate everything that we do for them. Our school community is small, but our families have big hearts.
A typical day in my Kindergarten classroom consists of whole group, small group activities, lots of hands-on activities and independent work. My students transition often between the rug and their tables for cooperative work and independent work.
My Project
These Scholastic Magazine and Time Magazines will benefit our Kindergarten classrooms and First grade classrooms in our school because we do not have a lot of supplements for Science and Social Studies. Our students love to learn about Science and finding out how things work. We incorporate Social Studies daily in our classrooms by learning about each other, exploring in our community and treating each other with respect. These magazines will reinforce the skills that we teach our students. The colorful pages motivate our students to read the magazines. Our school does not have any money in our school budget to afford these magazines. Please help us bring these magazines into our classrooms. These magazines will make an impact on our student’s learning because they will read about real life topics exploring the world we live in and diving into Science and Social Studies more.
