Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

High energy and harder workers. Every day they come, they want to better themselves. The students have goals and it’s my job to help them achieve them. Most of the students come from low Socioeconomic background but they want to break the cycle. It’s never a dull moment with them. My students come from different ethic backgrounds but they except each other and embrace the challenges. They’re learning how to develop a professional attitude and mannerism. It’s a blessing to see them show up each day with a smile on their faces and thoughts of success.

My Project

This project will help bring engagement to my class. Students like to listen to music, it’s an extra source of motivation. When I take my students to the weight room, I want them to be fully motivated with high energy. Also, music is used to relax students as well. For example, when teaching breathing techniques and how to relax, a soft melody can help with the setting. Talking with students throughout the campus, music has been a big indicator to increase participation. As an educator, my goal is to get all students in engaged and to help foster their learning and music is a good tool to use.
