My Students

My preschool room consists of 15 students (special education students and general education students) ages 3-5. They are at many different abilities levels and needs. My preschool students walk into our classroom every day full of energy. They can't wait to share their stories, thoughts, and feelings. They look around to see what has changed or has been added to our classroom. They look forward to all their new experiences.

My goal is to provide my students with a love of learning.

My goal is to do this by providing them with a safe, caring, happy, and fun classroom. They enjoy experiencing new things with their friends. I want to be able to prepare them for a successful future.

My Project

Are you asking yourself if you read the title correctly! You did! Preschoolers need to do laundry! They actually love to do laundry! They will learn so many skills through playing with this washer and dryer set.

My students will be able to learn identifying numbers and letters, environmental print, measuring, sorting, positional words, folding, problem-solving skills, communication skills, social skills, and definitely life skills.

They will sort the laundry, practice putting stuff in, out, and on top, measuring laundry detergent (pretend of course), and reading environmental print. This will open up a conversation about numbers and letters. It will give an opportunity to work on identifying clothing for students who need to develop language skills. We know they will enjoy this, so much more than flashcards. Just imagine the conversations that my 3-5-year-old students could have. The shelf will provide an organized way to store the clothing.

My students will be able to develop so many skills through play that will last them a lifetime.
