My Students
We are a uniquely diverse high school, in the heart of Long Island City, Queens, NY. My students are all amazing individuals, with amazing stories to tell. My classes are primarily focused on business and finance. My students consider themselves entrepreneurs. They develop real, feasable businesses, where they create business plans, and compete, sometimes on a national level, for seed money to further their enterprises. However, many of my students' needs are not met, as the vast majority come from economically disadvantaged homes, where even basic necessities, are scarce.
My Project
This is a very exciting project! My students will use their supplies to prepare for upcoming business competitions where they will present their extensive work to a panel of judges, all of whom are in the financial services industry. The materials from this project, will help my students remain organized, focused, and ready to win. This project is one that will help students determine their future goals, in the business world. Many of my students will go on to college to study various aspects of the business world. Please consider contributing to my worthy students and their futures in the business industry.
