My Students

I am blessed to teach in Lumberton, North Carolina. We are a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast, lunch, and snacks. This fact gives you a really good idea of their daily environment.

With this year being an election year Time Magazine can teach young people about the voting process and their responsibilities to make informed decisions when exercising their future right to vote for elected officials.

It is extremely challenging for students to learn remotely, but Time Magazine will give them clarity about what is going on in the world around them. This is a valuable learning tool that will provide them with literacy skills, as well as build their understanding of what it means to be an American citizen.

My Project

Children enjoy receiving Time Magazine to read and learn more about the world around them. They are a great way to make their learning relative to their daily lives and also give them a look at the world that they may not get to see otherwise.

With this being an election year Time Magazine is a great way for children to learn more about the process of electing our officials who shape the world around them.

Time Magazine explains things in kid-friendly terms that make sense to them so they can have a better understanding. Getting to learn about the election process in an unbiased way is essential to students learning to make decisions based on facts and not just feelings.

I appreciate your help in providing this wonderful learning tool to build a strong future generation of voters who are informed and understand their rights and responsibilities as US citizens to participate in making America all it can be for years to come.
