My Project
In preschool, we learn to be kind, safe, empathetic and responsible too! We teach students to be kind, have compassion, empathy, and to be mindful. Students learn that we are a classroom family. I want to welcome my students to their first year of school with copies of Time for School, Little Dinosaur! and Dancing Dinos go To School. This small gift shows students their teachers care. I want my students to know that school is a safe place where they will be protected, respected, and treated with kindness. The dinosaur keychains will be placed on the zippers of backpacks for students to locate zippers easily.
Having a strong social and emotional foundation in the early years will help my students to manage everyday social interactions later in life.
It is critical for the development of the overall brain and affects the ability to learn. My preschoolers will have a great first year of school and their compassion will be measured by their actions and words, showing daily that they can be kind, empathetic, mindful, as well as smart at school!
