My Project
Imagine walking into a classroom of 25 fifth graders, it's silent except for the sound of an audiobook playing and the pages turning of a book. And when you have to press pause and stop reading for the day, you get groans and complaints. That's what it looks and sounds like like in my class when we are reading our class novel together. The unique thing about teaching upper grades is that you can put a great book into their hands, and you have the chance to create a lifelong reader. Please help me give my students books such as The City of Ember, A Wrinkle in Time, Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library, and a magazine holder to keep our books organized.
