My Students

Remember coming home from school eager to tell your parents about how your day went? My job as an educator is to make sure my students are excited about their learning!

I work at a school where 99% of my kids are army dependents.

My students are some of the sweetest kids around who work hard and strive to do their best every day!

Parents are found facing deployments, field time, or working 14 hour shifts just to come home and tuck their kids into bed. Many of my kids have been in 3 different schools already and they are only in fifth grade!

My Project

With this project, I am requesting a class subscription to Time for Kids, including print and electronic editions.

In today's society, students need to learn how to analyze text presented online, in print, and on the television to learn how to make informed decisions as they mature and become our future problem solvers.

Teaching my students how to analyze information and make sure they have the materials to succeed is one of the most crucial elements of my profession. The students I teach will hopefully turn into critical thinkers that are capable of making informed decisions.

Time for Kids is the perfect student-friendly magazine subscription that will enable me to teach media literacy with my students.
