Time for Literacy Supplies... and Timers!

Help me give my students electronic timers, zipper pouches, dry erase ticket holder pockets, mini whiteboard signs, rainbow colored pencils, felt tip marker pens, and hole punchers for Daily 5 and phonics work.

My Project

My students love to be engaged in activities every day. They love creating and working to their fullest potential on a daily basis. Each one brings their own special talents and personality to our classroom family. Overflowing with energy and wonderful ideas, these children are the future. They are the reason I come to school each day and have a passion for teaching.

My students enjoy working with letters, learning to write words, and having their supplies accessible for immediate use.

My school is in a moderately high-poverty, Title I district. My kindergartners live in a small, rural community. Our school houses pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade. These children come to school to have fun, feel valued, and be appreciated.

With the use of ThEast rainbow colored pencils and Amazon Basics felt tip markers, students will be able to write in various colors during Daily 5 station work. Mini whiteboard signs will allow my students to practice writing their high-frequency words on a slanted surface, building their writing muscles. These signs will also fit wonderfully into a basket for easy travel in the classroom. LABUK zipper pouches are appropriately sized to house vowel sticks and segmenting cards, which are tools we use for phonics work. Amazon Basics Dry Erase pockets will lend themselves to my students for Daily 5 work, to hold QR codes for Listen to Reading and word work pages that can be completed and erased immediately. Craftinova Handheld Punchers will make it easy for students to hole-punch their flashcards and put them on book rings. Using electronic digital timers will help students to keep track of their work time and sound an alarm when the time is up. These will help with time management for station work.
