Many of our students come from low-income families with limited resources. They are eager to learn and are sweet kids. It is our goal to provide resources and supplements to give every student the best education possible. We also strive daily to give them love and a fun learning environment.
These years are such a valuable time in a child's life.
We are learning to write, read, draw, how to share, how to be a good friend, and how to control our behavior. Our students range from EC to ready to read. We celebrate every small victory according to the student such as stickers, treat box, candy, free reading center, etc.
The pandemic puts many restrictions on our normal activities. We are working hard to make things as safe and fun as possible. We are doing lots of hands-on activities in our core subjects.
My Project
We are requesting Time magazine for kids and kindergarten journals for our students. We have been using Time magazine in our class for two years and it is a great addition to our curriculum. The science and social studies in each issue are great activity starters.
We have been on nature hunts, had science experiments, participated in a mock election, and grew plants from the activities in Time.
The journals will give them a place to document and illustrate the activities as well. We will greatly appreciate your help with this project.
