The students that this Donors Choose project will be benefiting are from a low-income, Title 1 school. They may not have a lot, but they deserve the best just like any other child. They are kind, they are responsible, and they will always put a smile on your face. These students are so deserving of new experiences and opportunities they would otherwise not have. We love our kiddos! Although, the students are not aware of what the current events are in the world today. We are hoping with this Donors Choose it can change that!
My Project
Students today do not know about what is going on in the world. TIME for Kids would be a great resource to integrate science, social studies, math, and reading for learning of all levels. TIME for Kids also comes with differentiation for ELL students. This would be extremely helpful for the many ELL students I get every year. Reading these non-fiction texts every week will not only prepare the students for the end of the year state exam, but get them excited and interested in the world around them. TIME for Kids has the potential to open the eyes of many students academically and personally.
