My Students

My students are energetic and creative 5th graders that enjoy learning.

I teach in a school where over 75% of my students qualify for a free or reduced lunch price.

The school is in a suburban area just south of a major urban area. The students are from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. The community is supportive and values education.

In the classroom, we regularly use technology and enjoy our daily independent or buddy reading time. These kids love to learn!

My Project

My student will use Time 4 Kids to increase their reading skills of information texts. Students will answer questions based on the readings that are aligned with common core. Students will also be able to learn about what is going on in the world outside of our small town. This will allow them to become productive, knowledgeable citizens one day.

This project will make a difference because my students are our future, and I want them to have a passion for learning and reading.

These materials will allow me to introduce them to topics and events happening around the world, so they can become global learners.
