This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a low income school where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students face difficulties and struggles in their life, and truly deserve an amazing education.

These children deserve nothing but the best life can offer them.

Every student deserves educational equity and this starts with fairness; this means someone's personal conditions shouldn't interfere with their education or academic successes.

My students are hardworking and lovable, and they deserve a chance to reach their potential. This can be done through time, love, and the right resources to fit their needs.

My Project

Times for Kids magazines are designed with students in mind. These are a great resource to use weekly/monthly in the classroom. Printed material is becoming harder to use in the technology-based classroom, so these help students learn to read and use non-fiction material for resources. With your support, my classroom will be able to read, take home, and mark up these non-fiction/ current event articles in a different format. This will provide an engaging way to help students learn to read, and research for answers. Each magazine comes with a quiz and worksheets students can use to focus on certain articles. Please help make Times for Kids a resource in my classroom.
